FFFF Challenge #12: Then And Now

Our photo challenge this week is a "Then & Now" series of the girls "then" in their referral pictures and "now" at home. Unfortunately, blogger wouldn't let me put the photos side by side.. so they're kinda all over the place! Hopefully you'll be able to see them. If anyone can offer help on how to align them correctly, I'd be grateful!!

Esther's referral pictures are up top and then her "now" pictures are below. Her referral pictures were taken in the summer of 2005, when she was around 18-19 months old. The "now" photos were taken yesterday and she is just 1 day shy of being 4 years old!! I tried the best I could to match the clothing & backgrounds! Esther was really good about taking the photographs. I'd show her the referral pictures and tell her she needed to look like that, and she'd do it!! When I first saw her referral pictures, my first thought was that she looked so sad! Esther was able to make that "sad" look like she has in her referral photographs for me again. In reality, she really isn't sad at all! She's happy all the time and loves to play games and have fun! She has so much personality and loves posing for the camera.. I think she could be a model someday!

Below are Emma's "then & now" pictures. Emma's referral pictures were taken in March 2004 when she was 13 months old. Her "now" pictures were taken were also taken yesterday at 35 months old. Again, I tried to match the clothing as best I could. Emma doesn't own a pair of pink overalls, so I did the best I could by pairing a red long sleeved shirt underneath a pink dress and pink pants!! I found some shoes that looked a lot like the ones she had in her referral pictures as well. The black & white mug shot photo we have in color (only not on the computer!) and it has a blue backdrop. In the last photo, I had to make due with what I had! We don't have one of those baby toys that she is leaning against in her referral pictures, so I used a little shopping cart she had! I put Esther in the background of the picture to mimic the little one in the back of Emma's referral picture. Again, I tried to match the clothing to the original referral photograph, but does anyone own a pair of pants that are that busy looking??

This picture just cracks me up! Emma didn't really feel like co-operating with me when I was trying to get her "mug shot" photo, and she kept rolling her eyes at me! I kept laughing and she realized I thought it was funny, so she kept giving me that look!!

P.S. Somehow, Emma's aligned correctly, but Esther's are all out of order!! The more I try to fiddle around with it, the worse it looks!! GRR!
